- Shipping carriers (e.g., USPS) to deliver your order

These third parties are permitted to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
Cookies, Google Analytics, and Site Kit
Our website uses Google Site Kit, which includes Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects information about how visitors use our site — such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and general location data (at the city or region level). This information is used in aggregate to help us understand site traffic and improve the customer experience.
Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to distinguish visitors and track sessions over time. The data collected is sent to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
We do not use Google Analytics data to personally identify you, and we do not combine it with your order or account information.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking in the following ways:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
- Use your browser’s cookie controls to block or delete cookies
- Enable “Do Not Track” in your browser (note: not all analytics tools honor this signal)
For more information on how Google uses data collected through its services, visit: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In addition to Google Analytics, our WooCommerce-powered site uses functional cookies to keep items in your shopping cart and remember session preferences. These are strictly necessary for the site to work properly.
Data Retention
We retain your order information for as long as is necessary for business and tax record-keeping purposes, or as required by Oregon law. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard data retention settings, which we have configured to the minimum available period. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8 below), subject to any legal retention requirements.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party providers. As a small home-based business, we do not operate enterprise-scale security infrastructure, but we handle your data carefully and limit access to it.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking (see Section 5)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@firandmaple.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at hello@firandmaple.com and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our website may include links to third-party sites (for example, social media profiles or partner platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies separately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by a notice on our website. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
