Fir & Maple is a small-batch cottage bakery in Oregon City, Oregon. We bake cookies, bars, cakes, muffins, buttery mini scones, and seasonal treats, all made with organic ingredients and plenty of care. We also make Fir & Tails, a line of wholesome dog treats.
A cottage bakery is a small, home-based bakery that operates under state food safety guidelines. In Oregon, the Cottage Food Exemption allows home bakers to prepare and sell shelf-stable baked goods without a commercial kitchen. Cottage bakers complete food handler training, follow labeling requirements, and prepare everything in their own kitchens. It’s a way for small-batch bakers like us to share what we love while keeping things local, personal, and made with care.
All of our baked goods are made with organic ingredients. As a small-batch bakery, we are not required to carry USDA organic certification, but we source organic flour, sugar, butter, chocolate, peanut butter, maple syrup, eggs, and other key ingredients. Many of our products are sourced locally in the PNW as well.
Yes! Our cookies are baked to order from scratch. Other items like scones, muffins, and coffee cake may be baked in small batches and carefully frozen at peak freshness, then thawed for your order so they taste just as good as the moment they came out of the oven. Depending on the week, some items may be baked fresh that day and others from our frozen inventory. Please allow up to 2 business days for your order to be prepared.
We offer three ways to get your order:
(1) Local pickup in Oregon City. You’ll receive an email when your order is ready, and we’ll arrange a convenient pickup time.
(2) Local delivery to Oregon City, West Linn, and Gladstone. Available on orders of $50 or more, plus a flat delivery fee of $10.
(3) Shipping throughout Oregon. $13 flat fee for shipping. Available for most items. Some delicate treats like coffee cake are available for pickup and local delivery only.
Please allow up to 2 business days for your order to be baked, cooled, and packaged. Orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which typically arrives within 1 to 3 business days in Oregon. You’ll receive tracking information once your order ships.
Not at this time. As an Oregon cottage food bakery, we are permitted to sell and ship within Oregon only. We are not able to ship to Washington or other states.
Our baked goods are best enjoyed within a few days of delivery. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature. Specific storage suggestions are included with your order.
