About Fir & Maple

Fir & Maple is a one-person bakery. Everything is made to order a few dozen at a time, carefully, by hand.

I love to bake and use organic ingredients because I think you can taste the difference; real organic butter, organic flour and sugar, and nothing stretched or substituted to bring the cost down. Small batches mean everything goes out within a day or two of coming out of the oven.

When I’m not baking, I work as a geriatric care manager and nurse. That background shapes everything about the way I run my kitchen. The same attention to detail I bring to patient care carries over to every batch I make, from sourcing quality organic ingredients to following careful food handling, cleanliness, and storage practices. It all comes down to providing high quality baked goods that feel as thoughtful and well cared for as they truly are.

The name Fir & Maple comes from my love of trees, the Douglas Fir that Oregon claims as its own, and my love of everything maple.

Fir & Tails is a small line of dog treats, made with the same care and organic ingredients as everything else.

Simple, crunchy and chewy biscuits made with natural, organic ingredients. No meat, no sugar, and nothing you couldn’t pronounce. They’re baked and fully dried, so they keep well in a cupboard or treat container. Add a bag to any order, or shop them on their own.
